OK, Joe, I've looked at the variety of M$Office-like apps for iPad. All have very negative comments/reviews. While some can be taken with a grain of salt, the predominance of them has scared me away from them. You indicated preference for Office2HD, but the comments there are extreme, IMHO. Should the authors be taken as "trolls"? Or is a recent update a disaster? I take it your experience is good, otherwise you wouldn't recommend, yes? I just don't want to throw money away....

Is the recently closed tabs Safari feature available in older versions of iOS?

Although it didn't seem to work consistently for me, the bookmarks bar is also supposed to appear if you touch in a blank area of the URL/address field.

Not sure - I'd have to look on our original iPad, which isn't within reach.

Yes you can. If you look in the PDF of the show notes, you'll see a "chapter" for each show. At the start of each show, there is a ticket image with a play button on it.

If we had a many hundreds of thousands of customers, however, we'd probably be looking at a CRM to help us keep track of everyone.

Or, if we had many fewer customers and needed to be contacting them constantly about projects...

Slightly off the subject: Will Joe write TC book on managing pictures and videos? I know this topic was excluded from "Working with your iPad" but since we refurbish apartments in Italy, we work with thousand of pics and videos and would appreciate an in-depth discussion on managing pics and videos on your iPad. Thanks and congrats for these mind opening videos!

An example of good and bad reviews is any GPS app.

Also, sometimes there really is a problem and it is commented on by reviewers. The developer then fixes the problem. But,t he bad reviews remain and there isn't an easy way for the developer to make this clear.

Do you prefer ScanSnaps to Canon Scan-tini's?

Independent developers can respond to negative reviews by updating the software and commenting on the changes. I see this in some apps.

which external keyboard do you like best?

I like Logitech's keyboard. Good protective case too.

I worry that NeatReceipts uses all proprietary software; could be a problem if vendor disappears. Not worried that Fujitsu or Canon will go out of business anytime soon.

Scan-tini actually, with the hyphen. Maybe it is portable enough to bring to the beach. :-)

We are waiting for Fujitsu to enable wireless scanning with the Mac, in addition to iOS devices.

Just to mention it again, Adam and Joe and I will be working on the next version of the show notes today. If all goes well, we'll release them before dinner (here on the east coast of the United States). If we need a little more time to put on the polish, it'll be Sunday or Monday.
