Is there a "full screen" button that should be there (using Safari on iMac)-- don't see it on lower right....

I'm in Safari and I don't see a full-screen button either. Perhaps if you click the YouTube button in the lower right and the try from there.

I can confirm that it does work using Chrome on an iPad4. Now I will go back to my Mac Mini.

not working on ipad 2 in chrome which switched me to iTube, not working there either... Now on iMac.

Herman, also try switching to YouTube - you should see a button for that at the lower right of the presentation - hover over the video with your mouse to see the controls.

How did that Safari iPad thing work? That went by too fast.

Mac, I'll check with Joe after the show, but I don't see a problem with sharing the slides.

Basically, you start a Wi-Fi service on your iPad, then load a specific page on the Mac, Mary.

Mary, you can go back later and watch it again, too.

How do you know if the app supports Dropbox?

HOw can you use dropbox if you don't have wifi access all of the time. Does the iPad keep a copy you can work on and then it updates when you do get a connection?

Actually, Joan, I can answer yours... to know for sure if an app can use Dropbox, you'd have to check its documentation or ask the developer.

Is there a way to view and/or access documents on an iPad when you're offline? Dropbox is great but if you don't have online access, you can't view, edit, etc. your documents.

I did go to the YouTube link. Same streaming problem. I'm giving up

Christine, you might try restarting your browser or your Mac to clear things up.

Sheri, with Dropbox, if you mark a file as a Favorite, it will be stored locally on the iPad, so you can access it even if you are offline.

Doc Management does it work with Circus Ponies Notebook?

You would mark it as a favorite from within the Dropbox app on the iPad. The Dropbox help (on the iPad) has a topic about how to do this.

Can you work with a document if you have it as a Favorite in Dropbox or is it just for viewing? And how does the Favorite "get" from Dropbox to the iPad if you don't have an internet connection?

I have downloaded Kindle app on my iPad mini, but can no longer mark in the book. Would I be able to use PDFpen to do that?

Sheri, you might have to have an Internet connection at some point in time in order to transfer the file(s) from Dropbox in the cloud to the iPad itself. But you could do that just once.

I generally need to view or edit Word documents, which is why I'm having trouble figuring out the best way to do this. I don't know of an app that helps with Word documents.

Sheri, I'll put that into the Q&A list for the end of the presentation. I think Joe will have an idea for you.

Unrelated question: Can you forward delete somehow?

I recently purchased PDFPen and tried to load about 30 pdf documents from iTunes onto it. Would not accept them, would load only about 5-6. Contacted tech and they did not seem to have an answer. Have you run into this?

Dumb question... I now have Good Reader and have opened a pdf on my iPad, but I do not see how to close the pdf file and get back to Good Reader's main page.

Does Dropbox or GoodReader only sync when they are in the foreground on the iPad?

Is iWorks a good replacement for Word and Excel or is it better to stick with the Office Suite?

Everyone seems to recommend GoodReader. I find it so complex and clutterd with menus buttons etc as to make it unusable Am I doing something wrong? Is there a dummies mode?

It's tap and hold for a second!

Mac: Single tap in the center of the screen, you should get a tab with the file name at the top of the screen with an X for closing the file. To get back to your documents top left corner has "My Documents" button

It's not a good demo if something doesn't misbehave! ;-)

Hate GoodReader for this very reason. Completely arcane and non-compliant interface.

Thanks. It seems you need to tap and hold your finger on the pdf doc for a moment and then the main menu comes up.

I find that a single tap in the middle of the screen will bring up Goodreader's controls.

Will they make a mouse that works on the iPad?

Joan, Adam and I both think that the chances of Apple making a mouse for the iPad is very, very low.

Oh! Sometimes when Joe would switch between the PC and the iPad, I didn't know which device he was on. Also, when configuring airprint, do you download it from the app store on the Mac first? Missed that part...

Joan: If you're using an AirPrint-compatible printer, there's nothing to download. For other printers, you can use an app called Printopia. More info in show notes.
