We updated two books this week (on Calendar and Reminders, and Apple Mail), and slowly but surely we’re working our way through a long backlog. February is looking like a very promising month!

We had a pretty boring week, but for once, that’s a good thing! While keeping an eye on the news, we made progress on new and updated books that will start appearing next week.

This week marked our first release of 2021: a new edition of Take Control of Pages. Slowly but surely, more progress is occurring. We also learned some interesting things about ebooks in MOBI format.

We just wrapped up a big sale, which was nice in the sense of bringing in lots of dollars in a short time, but frustrating in other ways. Of course, a lot of things about 2020 were frustrating.

Like most retailers, we’re having a sale this week, and it’s going splendidly so far. Slowly but surely, we’re chipping away at our long list of updates, new titles, and bug fixes, too.

It was another slow news week at Take Control Books, but Joe has a new M1 Mac to play with, and is looking forward to Thanksgiving next week (even though it will be on a pretty small scale).

Apple managed to ship Big Sur and announce the first Macs with Apple silicon before Friday the 13th. We published a couple of updated books this week, too, and more are in the works.
