As anticipated, Apple announced new Mac models and the imminent release of Monterey, so we’re prepping some updated books for next week to go with the new stuff.
This week Joe and Morgen are feeling much more relaxed after some amazingly good personal news. Also, we released four (count ’em!) updated books this week.

We have a new book about Find My and AirTags, topics a lot of people have expressed an interest in. And we’re working hard on updates to many of our other titles for release in the coming weeks.
It’s the week before an Apple event so we’re mostly waiting to see how badly our schedule will be disrupted and how many new things we’ll have to cover in our books. We’ll know soon enough!
As the Take Control authors and editors toil here in the paragraph factory, not much is visible to the outside world except the output of the smokestack (it’s just the steam coming off our foreheads).
Our first books on Monterey and iOS 15/iPadOS 15 shipped this week, and we’re super excited about them. Also, Joe received a magical piece of paper and wishes he could actually use it.
I spent the past week juggling cats while putting out fires. So many cats, so much fire. Some of the cats were also on fire. The Flaming Cats sounds like a good name for a band.
