A new edition of Take Control of Apple Mail was released this week (and already needs a bug-fix update). As usual, a bunch of additional updates are at various stages of the process, and we’ll get them out as soon as we can.
It’s Friday the 13th! This week we finally released a long-awaited update to Joe’s 1Password book, and we have at least a couple more updates coming over the next week. Also, WinterFest is about to wrap up.
As we get back to work after the holidays, the WinterFest promotion continues, and work resumes on our long list of updates. At least one of them should ship by this time next week, and we’ll keep working through the list.
We wrapped up the year with nine updated titles, and we’re participating in WinterFest along with a bunch of great developers of artisanal Mac software. Joe’s on vacation for the next several days, but will be back at it next week.
It’s that time of year when we release another seven updated books by Glenn Fleishman (and then some). We also say goodbye and good riddance to the MOBI file format; long live EPUB!
Today, Amazon released an update to their Send to Kindle app for Mac and Windows that finally supports the industry-standard EPUB format. Yay! That means we can now stop using the problematic MOBI format.
Updates to several of Joe’s books are now in editors’ hands, and as soon as they’re able to get through them, we’ll ship them out. That’s all we have for this week.
This week, Joe spent most of his work hours writing the next edition of his 1Password book and trying to stay warm. He’s trying to get in as many updates as possible before the holidays.
Our Black Friday sale is now over. Joe spent much of this week answering questions he had already gone out of his way to answer, and he has some feelings about this duplication of effort.
What a week! We released no fewer than 10 updated books, and then immediately launched into our massive Black Friday sale. Save 50% on many titles until December 1!
