In our last Friday report of 2020, we look at a brand new book, a few updates, and what’s in store in the near future. Also, Mobi files have been turning out to be a real pain.
Friday Report: December 11, 2020
We released a new book this week that was outdated within hours, so that was interesting. We’re now trying to figure out how much we can cram into the next week and a half or so before we take a holiday break.

We just wrapped up a big sale, which was nice in the sense of bringing in lots of dollars in a short time, but frustrating in other ways. Of course, a lot of things about 2020 were frustrating.

Like most retailers, we’re having a sale this week, and it’s going splendidly so far. Slowly but surely, we’re chipping away at our long list of updates, new titles, and bug fixes, too.

It was another slow news week at Take Control Books, but Joe has a new M1 Mac to play with, and is looking forward to Thanksgiving next week (even though it will be on a pretty small scale).

Apple managed to ship Big Sur and announce the first Macs with Apple silicon before Friday the 13th. We published a couple of updated books this week, too, and more are in the works.

This was (obviously) a big news week for the United States, and consequently a slow news week for Take Control Books (though we did get one updated book out).

We had one new book release this week. November looks like it will be an exciting month, but we’re going to try to ignore that as much as possible and continue publishing new and updated books!

We had another week of less-than-spectacular productivity. But I have a motto: “The sooner you fall behind, the more time you have to catch up.” We’ll be doing a lot of that in the coming weeks.
