Start on the right foot with Mac OS X 10.3 Panther with this detailed guide from Joe Kissell! Joe's expert guidance, developed over innumerable test installations, thoroughly explains the seven steps necessary before upgrading, which of three installation options is right for you, how to perform the actual upgrade, and the four tasks you must perform after the upgrade finishes. Also included are instructions if you're extra paranoid or are upgrading from Mac OS 9. Worried that something might go wrong? Joe provides detailed troubleshooting tips for six possible problems and even instructions on how to downgrade to your previous system if necessary.
"Whether you are an experienced Mac geek or a newbie, this book will make the whole installation process a lot less nail-biting."
-Jackie Chappell
